"Lee!" Kevin said, jumping to his feet.
Lee with his back to the approaching army looked at Kevin.
  "What?"
Kevin was pointing, his jaw moving, but no words came out.
Lee's smile faded and he slowly turned.
His eyes widened (if that were possible) as he counted about forty agents headed his way.
"AH-HA! At last a matched fight!"
"Are you mad?" Kevin said. He was already scanning the area for a place to hide.
Lee pulled out a handful of grenades and guns he had acquired.
"YAHOOOO!!!" Lee screamed as he ran towards the troops.
Kevin, however, ran in the opposite direction.
Lee rounded an edge of bushes, pulled the pin on a grenade and was about to throw it when he heard an explosion. It wasn't from the Island. He peaked out from his hiding spot and saw the approaching army, behind them was a tank.
More specifically five tanks.
Lee jumped back.
  SHIT!
Lee began to run back towards Kevin, trying to keep a firm grip on the grenade.
He had thrown away the pin.

Kevin burst thru the bushes onto the other end of the airfield.
Gunfire filled the air and he hit the deck. He looked up in time to see a few jet copters taking off full of 4S members.
Kevin could clearly see Taya at the controls.
They fired one more burst and headed east.
Kevin stood up. Shit, he thought that bitch was going to get away.
Just then a thundering explosion took place.
Almost immediately Lee jumped out of the bushes.
"Christ! They got tanks! Lets' get the fuck out of here!"
"Hmm," Kevin said, scanning the field.
Then his eye caught a camouflage net covering a plane.
  "There," he said pointing.
They ran to it and pulled the net off. It was a vintage WWII P-51 Mustang. Complete with   eyes and jaw paintings. Lee also noticed it had a very modern arsenal.
"Hey," he said, touching one of the missiles. "This looks like a sidewinder and these bombs are..."
He was cut off by a deafening explosion.
  The island was coming apart.

"Come on," Kevin shouted, climbing into the cockpit.
Lee was on the ground, still reeling form the explosion. Slowly he got up. He could hear the stead munching of underbrush as the tanks approached.
Kevin sat in the pilots seat.
"Hmmm," he said and began to flick switches.
"Ha-ha!" he said as the engine suddenly coughed to life and the propeller began to spin.
Lee was now on the wing.
He glanced back and saw the first tank crash through onto the field.
"Go!" He yelled, climbing into the rear.
Kevin pushed the throttle up and the plane revved, but didn't move.
His eyes widened. The tank was closing in. Kevin threw the throttle up to pull . The plane lurched, but stayed put.
Shit, Kevin thought, The blocks must still be under the wheels!
The tank was almost on top of them. Apparently the driver was either going to crush the plane or blow their heads off point blank.
  Suddenly, there was another explosion.

It was a tremendous explosion.
The plane rocked to one side so much that the left wheel left the ground. With the throttle all the way up, the plane lurched to the right, over the block holding the wheels.
As it came down, Kevin, know they were free, drove the plane down the runway. Right at the approaching troops.
"Here they come," he said, although anyone could hear the gunfire.
"YAHOOO!!!" Lee screamed and lobbed a few grenades.
Kevin pulled the stick back and the plane soared into the air.
"Let's turn around and blow the fuck out of 'em!" Lee shouted.
"No, we can't. We've got to go after Taya. Her chopper when this way."
"No, Let's turn around!" Lee was eager for more fighting.
At that moment the island self-destructed.37
  Both of them were stunned.
Finally, Lee spoke. "Okay, I guess we could follow after that bitch, now."

Kevin flew on.
They flew east over the Atlantic, towards the Caribbean.
"We're lost, aren't we?" Lee shouted. Over the past few hours he had become bored counting his weapons.
"No," Kevin defended. "We're just not sure where we are."
"We're gonna crash in the ocean and never fight again."
"Alright! I'll turn around," Kevin brought the plan around into a 180-degree turn. Well, almost.
After a long time of this flight path, they saw a ship.
"Hey, Lee," Kevin shouted. "Look at that funny tanker."
Lee opened his eyes (because he was sleeping) and looked. It was a large oil tanker, except near the front was a large smokestack with a funny angle.
"IT'S THEM! Hot damn, we found 'em!"
You may wonder how Lee knew this.
You may think he deduced the rocket sites with possible relay station and knew the funny stack was a laser cannon.
But no. He knew the tanker was them for one simple reason.
  Vanity.

37. Once again, an island, even a small one, reducing itself to cinders is likely to vaporize any small aircraft in the vicinity. That an important safety tip, kids.
