These are also all created under the Punc Ducs logo, not that it makes that much of a difference, I guess, but I will be sort of posting a whole Punc Ducs website soon (that's a relative term, boys and girls) and there will probably be some cross pollenation. On the whole, these videos are more like animated slideshows. And then you'd have to probably know the participants to get the full effect. So if you're not in the know, you'll probably just be bored. Consider yourself warned. These are all RealPlayer files, so you’ll need RealPlayer installed to see it (although it looks like you have to pay for it, you don’t. In the upper corner of the website is the Free RealPlayer player, and that’s all you need). In all cases, I should have higher resolution files if you really care to see DVD quality video (okay, VHS quality…). Most of these files weigh in around 2.5 MB in size, so if it’s streaming funny, you can right-click on the link and hit Save As… and save it to your desktop. Which will download them to your computer and you can open it there. It should play fine from your local machine. Tales, Strange and Pointless: The Pistol [2:39/4.4 MB] This uses nothing but small sketches and doodles that I scanned in. A couple of them have been reworked, but it's pretty raw. The only downside to this pointless little diddy is the narration. I have very limited experience with inputting audio so it's a little wacky in that regard; you might have to turn it up to hear it. Overall, I like it. With a little work, this could become a series of shorts. (05/2004). The Crick Project. This was an option that Michael took to do a video report instead of a written one. It’s a little goofy… (01/2004) Evil Wayne (John Doe Opening) Of course, Fox has long cancelled it, but I loved the theme music from John Doe and had to use it. (10/2003) Sweet Child O’ Mine A Finnegan collage. All pics from when he was born up to his first birthday (10/2003). Kate and Ryan (Mod Squad Opening) Check it out! Some fast images from Kate’s wedding: done up slightly like a 70s TV show (7/2003) Who We Are This is the first video collage I put together (12/2002). Like the others here, it’s moving stills put to music. I really like, if I do say so myself. Dawn Over Brazil This was or is an on-going project. It's more in a dorment state, I guess. Basically, Leebone and I were trying to come up with a serialized soap opera of bizarre events in this one town named Brazil. The gimmick was to use nothing but Barbie dolls. This was an attempt to see what I could make with the equiptmen I had at the time. It really the first thing I ever did and it's a tragic mess of filters. It uses the Angel theme song. (12/1999) Tunes These are some original music I made in Acid 2.0 under the name Hazy (which I occasionally still go by). They're all really, really really amature attempts at electronic music. But you've come this far, you might consider downloading these and see how really bad things can get. Like the videos, you're probably best to right-click and Save As... to get them. They are all mp3 files. I don't calm that anything here will actually be worth listening to. Travel [2:53/5.4MB] This was the first thing I ever really created with Acid (around Summer 2001). I only used the demo version, which had a limit to four or five tracks. I got the kids to record a couple of words each, and used a few loops. I really dig it. Scratch N Turn [1:56/4.5MB] More of an attempt to make an acutal techno-dance thing. Real short. Renewed [8:04/7.5 MB] I wanted to do something that was evolving, building on tracks were layed down previously. I also wanted to take my time and build up slowly, hence the length. I'm not exactly sure this is that successful, but I do sort of dig what I ended up with here. I'm still a big ol' amature all this, but I'm still trying. Spyder [3:44/7.0MB] Mmmm... I'm not exactly sure what to say about this one. I feel like it's an okay little bop, but it's probably a technical mess. I didn't really bother with trying to tighten it up — so if it sounds slapped together, it probably is. Thanks to JP for the title. Tergiversation [3:46/7.1MB] This one's much more mellow than anything I've done so far. Part of me thinks it should be longer, but I keep adding stuff and it mucks it all up (more than normal). Again, I'm being more loose with the process, so there's bound to be some clunk-ness going on. I might revisit this one at some point. Of all the stuff I've done (and there's a bunch I just won't post) this is my favorite tune. JunkWorks [2:24/3.4MB] I threw this together as an intro track when Tine and I thought podcasting might be in our future. This was the lead in music for our first try and probably would have been with us for awhile. |
