Friday, January 04, 2008 Blower Blows It's dropped down into the freaking teens the last couple of days and, because I have this bizarre karma, the blower in my car has stopped working. The heat works, but there's nothing to force it out of the vents. So, I had to drive to work all bundled up while just enough warm air wafts onto the windshield to keep it clear. Even that's not true. I let the car warm up for almost 20 minutes this morning and it didn't do a damn thing to get the ice off the windshield. It's only enough to keep ti from fogging up, I think. More than likely, my body heat brought up the temperature to just around freezing. My fingers took a good hour to thaw out once I got here. Going home is going to be worse, because it's been sitting in shade all day and I don't really want to sit there for 20+ minutes before heading home. Could be worse. It was 0 here the other day. I think the high was like 2. Christy woke me up at 3am to let me know that the furnace in our house wasn't working. The inside temp was 35. |
