Archeological Dig

They're moving the offices around at work. It's a major round of musical chairs as the entire first floor is moving upstairs with us and the whole company is shifting around.

Production is being forced to move over with the rest of the division. They've cut new offices and, allegedly, there's going to be a new cube farm where Order Processing is. Frankly, the whole thing bites. It's too bloody noisy over there and the editors do *not* get offices.

At least I've got my iPod (for however long that lasts).

But I've been emptying out my cube to get ready for the move. I filled up two recycling bins of paper that's been accumulating in my space. It's a time trip sometimes, coming across papers that FH#2 worked on, or Jill, some stuff marked up from Jen's days, before she left and her office became a landfill.

I've got a box that contained all the materials from the first 5 books I worked on. That should have tossed like 4 years ago.

Like unearthing ancient artifacts, it's impossible to date these items without extensive carbon-dating... oh wait, No it's not.

Behind a large stack of paper, I found a desk calendar shoved in the back, still flipped to April 10, 2000.

The day I started here.
