Then There Were Four

FH#1 gave his notice yesterday, which will reduce the department to four, full-times and one-part time once he leaves in two weeks. This is the smallest it has been since I started here. Down from a time where there were nine of us. We even had an intern at one point. The whole building is like that, everywhere there are empty offices and desks with chairs turned over.

There will be tumbleweeds blowing through the corridors soon.

My boss doesn't think it can get any smaller, but I can't help but think this job can be done by a couple of monkeys and roulette wheel. Seriously, there's a lot of minutia, but it's not outrageous.

My fear is that I'll come in one day to find my cubicle replaced with a fish gutting station.
