Weekend Burn

I got a minor burn from the wood stove Saturday night. A nice oblong sear across the underside of my forearm, hurt like a muther-fucker (as it well should, the stove was pretty damn hot at the time). I'm still not 100% sure how I missed the handle, but I did and my momentum caught the edge of the door. It's funny, but I can't seem to recall every burning myself like this before. Which is a miracle in it's own right, I guess.

I tried to take a picture of it, but it's my right arm and I can't get a good shot without the flash obscuring all detail.

Other than that, the weekend was mostly uneventful, which is part of the problem, I guess. I spend some time pacing in and out of the Lego area trying to figure out if there was some way to make it more useful to no avail.

It's starting to rake on my nerves how useless the area has become. More so because there's the Pirate Game coming up and I have 2 ships and at least 1 island to prepare. On top of that, I have this revamped !Zombie! idea I'd like to try for around Halloween. Only it sort of requires me to start working on it now for the visuals.

I'm tired. I never seem to get enough sleep.

Minus the burn story, your weekend sounds a lot like mine. The difference is that I spent about 20 hours per day in the Lego room without any better results.

If you're feeling bad about your own burn, Natasha was out at a club this weekend and some guy propositioned her - and honest to god, she set his balls on fire. Then she came home describing the little zipping sounds of his burning short hairs and the whimpering sounds out of his throat and laughing like it's the funniest thing in the world.

Man, you think you're having trouble sleeping lately.

I was fixing the sheet on TheBoy's bed and just brushing my arm across it, tore the dead skin away from my burn exposing some fresh nerves and firing off some sharp pain. Forcing me to put this big ass bandage over it and hopefully it'll stay put (weird how your arm twists as you move it around daily).

I was going to complain, but I'm thinking better of it now.
