I got little done over the weekend. It was pretty much the same thing that happened last year. There's a funky vibe at home where I just can't seem to concentrate. I tried - I spent about an hour and a half in the sunroom and only managed to churn out 172 words. And it was tough to do that, but in the end I was way too distracted to focus.
I think I'll keep at it, despite the trouble I'm having finding the right voice. This is another week - and I'm behind by almost 5K words at this point - but I'll try to refocus. I went through some of my tunes and made up a playlist of songs to help. Listening to it on my way to work actually made me feel better about the whole thing.
At this point, I'm looking forward to my lunch hour and seeing if I can carry it over and put a small dent in that word deficit.
We rented Garden State (and Kill Bill Vol 1) for the weekend. I was totally into Garden State. In fact, there was one scene that had me doubled over in pain from laughing so hard. But, immediately after that, the DVD started freaking out on a 60's, bad, acid trip . It finally just stopped playing and no amount of cleaning made it better. So we had to report it as damaged and move on - which was too bad, because I was really digging the movie. When I plugged in the comments on the website, I forgot to ask for a new disc. So now I have to put it back into the queue.
