Wednesday, December 15, 2004 Wikipedia I'm just beginning to discover the gloriously detailed minutiae at wickpedia, an online encyclopdia of sorts. In the same vein as Urban Legends or IMDB.com, it has that wonderful ping-pong effect where you start at one end and just bounce through subjects and links until you get so far off on a tanget, you forget what the hell you started with. I kid you not, I started with Natalie Merchant (one of my favorite artists) and wound up here. And then spent a lot of time here too. Being a major fan as a kid (and a total geek) I, of course, reading the whole damn thing. It's another great use for the web.
