I'm just beginning to discover the gloriously detailed minutiae at wickpedia, an online encyclopdia of sorts.
In the same vein as Urban Legends or IMDB.com, it has that wonderful ping-pong effect where you start at one end and just bounce through subjects and links until you get so far off on a tanget, you forget what the hell you started with.
I kid you not, I started with Natalie Merchant (one of my favorite artists) and wound up here. And then spent a lot of time here too. Being a major fan as a kid (and a total geek) I, of course, reading the whole damn thing.
It's another great use for the web.
And a giant time-sink for me.
