Millyard Phase I

Spent this past Saturday helping (with NELUG) Lego recreate a section of an industrial completx in Manchester, N.H.; a 1:55 scale recreation of the historic Amoskeag Millyard. There were other fans were there to help.

You can see pictures of the build and get a grasp of the size. This is going to be the biggest Lego installation to date for the company. We built a single building and it took all day. Actually, I took a long time to build one section, because there was some confusion on whether or not there were windows. I kept tearing it down and building it up. It kind of got to me after awhile. ;)

There's easily a dozen or so more buildings that need to go in. It's going to take a year and a half before it's done.

I had one of the best times. It was a total blast and I certainly hope any future building weekends are just as groovy. We even got to ride a Segway which was groovy. (As Dave said, "Cool. Not five-thousand dollar, cool, but cool.")

After the event, I jaunted over to Sullivans to get pictures for the intro video. I think I left his house around 10 - 10:30 and didn't get home until almost 1 AM. :P

A very long day.

I'm trying to get it done and also churn out a few other things for the game this weekend. I've uploaded the Harrison and Meredith document, so that's done. Even if I wished it could have been some kind of pseudo-documentary.

For the intro I've got most of the dialog recorded and I think the images are okay. Stitching it together is a whole different animal. I think it can't help but be 10 minutes at this point. Which is a good thing in my opinion.

We're into the final stretch here.
