Happy Halloween - I think

Tine and I took TheBoy™ around the neighborhood tonight. I think we left at 5:30 and home an hour later. At this age, he wears out pretty quickly. Half the time he wanted to be back in the carriage for a ride to the next house. Especially, near the end.

Just like Jackie Chan in that 4-star flick, donning the costume turns an ordinary 2.6 year old into a superfast, superhero that rushes at me with lightning speed. Here we see TheBoy™ as he's about to crush his father with unnatural swiftness.

He also needs lots of prompting at the door; "Say Trick or Treat. Say thank you." He's very gun-ho to rush off to the next house, pointing up and down the street, directing our route (which is pretty much straight) but he clams right up when strangers arrive at the door. We probably only did about a dozen houses at the most. Even that seems like a stretch to me.

The last couple of houses, for some bizarre reason, I started telling TheBoy™ to "Say Merry Christmas." At one house, I was completely flummoxed as to what to actually say. I stood there completely dumbfounded for about 10 seconds, which is an eternity when we're all just looking for some social niceties.

At least the neighbors didn't appear to recognize me.
